Gomorra
The theatrical adaption
The theatrical adaption of Roberto Saviano's book, written together with Mario Gelardi, who also directs the play, reveals the harsh reality of Neapolitan organized crime and its far-reaching tentacles. The rewriting of the text for the theater was started already before the book was published, and allowed the authors to work on an exceptionally rich material and to conduct an extensive analysis of some of the characters of the book/reportage. The play courageously exposes the most cruel criminal activities that have afflicted Naples for long and that have spread around Italy as well as abroad.
